VIRL is built on the principle that your real-world interactions belong to you. Our mission is to help you look up from your screen, not to track every breath you take. We only collect the data necessary to gamify your experiences and reward your growth.
We collect your name and email to manage your account. We use location data exclusively to verify mission completion, because "touching grass" doesn't count if you're doing it in a simulator. This data is used only for game mechanics and is never sold to third parties.
You own your stats. If you want to delete your mission history or your account entirely, you can do it with a single tap. We don't believe in "sticky" platforms; we succeed when you put the phone down.
We use industry-standard encryption to keep your logins and results safe. Your missions are for your character progression, not for public surveillance.
By using VIRL, you're agreeing to our mission: to touch grass and live life. If you're here to bot missions or fake your locations, you're missing the point (and you'll be banned).
You must be human to use VIRL. AI and bots aren't allowed to earn XP because they don't have a "real life" to improve. This is intended for humans aged 13+. If you are a sentient refrigerator, please contact support for a special waiver.
You agree to complete missions safely. Don't trespass, don't be a jerk, and don't break the law while doing missions. VIRL is not responsible for any trouble you get into while trying to earn XP.
Joining the waitlist does not guarantee immediate access. Perks are awarded to early supporters and chosen Navigators.
We reserve the right to ban users who disrupt the community or exploit game mechanics. Play fair, live real.
